Akrata is built on the foot of Helmos and is latelly showing great touristic and construction growth.   Akrata is the capital of the municipality.

The monastery of Holy Trinity was built in  1715 AC and has many relics.

Chelmos-Lake of Tsivlos-Forest of Zarouchla. The lake of Tsivlos is a unique site with beautiful scenery.

During the summer months Akrata transforms into a tourist resort with many restaurants, bars and hotels that will assure a pleasant stay.
