Diakopto or Diakofto

Diakopto or Diakofto i a very beautiful town in Axaia and a nice destination for your vacations. Kalavrita is only 37 km away from Diakopto, so you can combine the sea with the mountain. Very important sight od Diakopto is the harbour, there you will find many fish boats and can buy fresh fish from korinthiakos sea. Next to the harbour you will find the church of Saint Nikolas, a beautiful small church next to the sea.

From Diakopto the odontotos trains starts and goes to Kalavrita. In the train station you can see the old locomotive of odontotos. The train station is located in the centre of the town, there you can also find many stores, restaurants and cafeterias for your daily shopping. The square of Diakofto is the place where most of festivals during the summer time take place. Also don't forget to visit the coach-house with the new trains of odontotos.

In Diakopto you can find 3 beautiful beaches. The first one is next to the harbor. The second one is located in road by the sea from the harbor towards the river. The third one is the famous beach of Egali which is located in the end of the road towards the opposite direction from the second one. Egali beach is very beautiful with sand, there you will find bars. The beach is full of people during the summer time.
